The community life in the hostel demands certain rules and regulations for maintenance of discipline and order.
• Bedrooms should be kept clean and tidy. No poster or picture are allowed on the walls, doors and coupboards.
• A student responsible for damaging any equipment or furniture is required to pay for its repair or replacement.
• The Bathrooms and common places should be respected and left as we would like to find them on entering.
• Students are not allowed to enter another’s room during study hours.
• During study hours there must be perfect silence in all the rooms. At other times loud laughter, screamings, banging of doors in the rooms and passages must be avoided.
• All correspondence to the students will be checked at the discretion of the warden.
• Hostellers who wish to go out may do so only on first and third Sunday of the month not on the week days. They will sign in the Register provided for the purpose before going out and give their pass when they return.
• Permission should be asked when a student is absent from the hostel for any vaild reason.
• No outsider or day scholars are allowed in the hostel without the permission of the warden.
• Light must be out by 10.00p.m. No candles will be used for study purpose
• Girls are advised not to bring gold ornaments to the hosteler keep money with them. The hostels accepts no responsibility for loss of personal belongings.
• No student is allowed to use electric appliances,Mobile phonewithout the permission of the warden.
• All illness,no matter however minor,must be reported to the warden.
• The warden shall have the authority to check any room, even in the absence of the occupant, if it is necessary.
• No students will stay away from classes without permission of the warden.
• A Student who breaks the hostel rules or whose conduct is unsatisfactory is liable to be expelled from the hostel and those who fails in the examination, are asked to leave the hostel.
• No meetings will be conducted in the hostel without permission of the warden.
• Hostellers who like to go after to cinema or hotels, will be discouraged to stay in the hostel.
• Catholic girls must participate daily in the Holy Mass, Rosary and other religious activities.
• Student desiring to continue to stay in the hostel must give a written application to the warden. Admission will be considered based on their characters.
Visitors will be allowed to meet the hostellers only on Sundays From 9.00 AM – 11.45 AM and 2.00 PM -4.45 PM.
Visitors must report at the Reception office before meeting any hostellers.
At the time of admission, the parents are given 5 visiting cards on which the names of the persons will be written whom they approve of.
Anyone who comes to visit a hosteller must bring the visiting card alongwith him/her. Without this card no one will be allowedin the campus.
The Students are allowed to visit the homes of their relatives and friends only by the written permission of their parents.
Students are allowed to go home only for the following holidays i.e. Summer, Puja, Easter and Christmas. Hostel will be closed during these holidays. Beside these holidays students are not allowed to go home unless there is any emergency.
During study leave, students go home and come back just one week before the examination begins. All the students must return in time after holidays. Failing to report on the specific date given information should be given and a written application countersigned by parents must be brought. In case any illness medical certificate along with an application of the parents must be submitted.
